MFA is critical for security. Setting up Google Authenticator for your Google Workspace account adds an extra layer of security.
Sign in to Google β Go to myaccount.google.com and log in.
Go to Security Settings β Click Security in the left menu.
Enable 2-Step Verification β Under Signing in to Google, click 2-Step Verification > Get Started, then follow the prompts.
Choose Authenticator App β In the 2-Step Verification settings, select Authenticator app as your method.
Install Google Authenticator on your mobile device β Download the app:
Scan QR Code β Open the Authenticator app, tap +, select Scan barcode, and scan the QR code on your screen.
Enter Verification Code β The app generates a 6-digit code. Enter it on Googleβs setup page to verify.
Save Backup Codes (Optional) β Store the provided backup codes in a safe place in case you lose access.
Complete Setup β Click Done to finish.
